In 2017, Rita Blitt donated a significant collection of paintings, drawings, sculptures, and archival materials to the Mulvane Art Museum of Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. The Rita Blitt Legacy Collection, housed in the Rita Blitt Gallery and Sculpture Garden, creates unique opportunities to engage Washburn students and the regional community in the research, interpretation, and development of exhibitions, educational programs, and performances.
